Helen Frederick is an artist, curator, educator, and founder of Pyramid Atlantic, a non-profit contemporary arts center focused on the paper arts. Active in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area arts scene, she has served on the boards of alternative art spaces, local and national boards and national peer-review panels. In addition to traveling the world to observe the dazzling diversity of material culture, societies and their skills, she coordinates international projects and speaks on the importance of collaboration across disciplines, and how sharing ideas fosters valuable connections among disparate cultural traditions.
